CLEARFIELD – April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The slogan for this year’s observance, “Respect Works”, builds upon last year’s theme, “Prevent Sexual Violence … in our workplaces.” The focus will be on the role that respectful behavior at both the individual and organizational levels can play in creating and maintaining safe and healthy communities and workplaces.
During April sexual assault programs across the state will intensify their efforts to promote public awareness of sexual assault issues, including employees who experience workplace violence. From sexual harassment and discrimination to actual assault, sexual violence is something that should be addressed by employers and employees everywhere.
