CLEARFIELD – Friday marked the end of a Clearfield Elementary School drive for the troops.
Starting last week CES gathered items for the troops including food, grooming and entertainment products.
Along with donated goods the CES faculty and staff gave monetary donations from their “dress-down” fund to pay for the shipping of the items overseas, and to make up for any shortages.
“It’s just something we did a few years ago, and wanted to do again,” said secretary Caroline Zortman.
The drive was to help serve as a reminder that there are troops still serving.
Parent and veteran Melissa Koptchak will mailing the items out.
Items gathered for the drive lay on a table waiting to be boxed up. (Steven Mcdole)
