Gloria F. Henry, 77, of Clearfield and formerly of Irvona, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 in the emergency department of Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born in Kerrmoor on March 12, 1939, the daughter of Keturak Freyer Brickley. She was raised by her grandparents, Henry and Emma Johnson Freyer
She was a member of and served as treasurer of the Irvona Christian & Missionary Alliance Church for 25 years. She was also a member of the Alliance Woman’s Group.
She was a homemaker. She had also worked in their business Henry Meat Market of Irvona.
Surviving are her husband, Glenn Henry and sons, Greg and Kim Henry of Dover, Del., and Jeff Henry and his wife, Donna and Chris Henry and his wife, Jennifer, all of Irvona.
Also surviving are a sister, Elsie Sutton of Hightstown, NJ; granddaughters, Ashley (Justin) Clough, Kylie Henry, Taylor (Brandon) Morris, Elizabeth (Dereck) Shawley, Jessica Watson and Rebecca Henry; grandsons, Brandon Ailes and Jeffrey Henry; and three great-grandchildren, Lillian, Savannah and Colin.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry Fryer; grandmother, Emma Fryer; mother, Keturah Freyer Brickley; brothers, Wayne Freyer and Isaac Freyer; and sisters, Harriet Shaffer and Miriam Brewer.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.
Also, friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the Irvona Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Douglas Williams and the Rev. Mark Eveleth officiating. Burial will follow in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville.
