William L. Jones Sr., 75, of Woodland died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at Indiana Regional Hospital.
Born Oct. 7, 1941 in Clearfield, he was a son of the late William Victor and Ruth (Litz) Jones.
Mr. Jones worked for many years at Harbison Walker and Glenn Gery Brickyards.
He was a member of Bigler United Methodist Church. He was the vice president of the Clearfield-Curwensville Beagle Club.
He’s survived by his wife of 57 years, Marietta (Greene) Jones, to whom he was married June 9, 1959.
He’s survived by four children, Elizabeth Jane Jones of Clearfield, William L. Jones Jr. and his wife, Lori of Irwin, Christine Celeste (Jones) Fox of Woodland and Bradley Neil Jones and his wife, Bobbi Jo of Shiloh; six grandchildren, Annie and Meg Jones, Airian and Miranda Jones, Sarah Imbruglia Krulia and Emily Derring Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Louie and Franco Krulia.
He was the last member of his generation. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Grace Hooven, Elenor Putt Kelly and Betty Jane Jones; and one brother, Victor Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Kathy Leigey officiating. Burial will be in Bigler Cemetery.
Friends will be invited to the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
