Kathryn M. Thomas, Age 99 of West Long Ave., DuBois, PA died Wednesday on June 09, 2010 at Christ the King Manor.
Born on Feb. 17, 1911 in Weedville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine M. (Kaluchiak) Luchuck)
She was married to William G. Thomas. He preceded her in death in March of 1986.
She worked at J C Penny Company in downtown DuBois for 19 years.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where she was an Eucharistic minister and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She attended daily mass at St. Catherine’s each day for 30 years.
She was a member of the former “Ladies of Gradale” and was a member of the “Women of the Moose” for over 50 years. She enjoyed baking and gardening.
She is survived by 3 children (Mrs. Robert G. (Evelyn J.) Fauls of DuBois, PA; Mrs. Patrick B. (Nancy T.) Malley of Pittsburgh, PA; and James M. Thomas and wife Frances of Export, PA) a sister (Mary C. Rio of Bellefonte, PA) 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Visitation will be on June 13 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
The rosary will be prayed on Sunday afternoon at 1:45 p.m.
A scriptural wake service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 14 at 11 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery
