PHILILPSBURG – The state police in Philipsburg are warning residents of a phone scam.
According to police an unknown person contacted a Julian resident and told her that her son was in the custody of the Montreal Police Department. The person requested that the woman send money so that her son could make bail. It was later discovered by the woman that her son was not in custody.
