JoAnne L. Cartwright, 80, of Pittsburgh and formerly of Sandy Ridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 at the John J. Kane Regional Center in Pittsburgh.
Born March 10, 1936 in Sandy Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Jean (Moore) Renwick. She married Ralph E. Cartwright on Sept. 28, 1957 in Sandy Ridge; he preceded her in death July 12, 2015.
She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge, where she was a pianist and Sunday school teacher. She was a 1954 graduate of the Philipsburg High School, a homemaker and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mountain Top Fire Company of Sandy Ridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother, Charles M. Renwick.
Mrs. Cartwright is survived by a daughter, Laura Jean Shoff and her husband, Bradley of Mount Lebanon, Pa., and two grandchildren, Emily Lane Shoff and Evan Alexander Shoff.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. Friday until funeral time.
