DUBOIS – The DuBois City Police Department announced the arrest of a woman accused of selling beer to someone under 21.
According to police they received a report of suspicious activity on Monday in front of Julio’s Tavern. Police noticed a woman digging through a bag that was hidden in a bush then going into the tavern.
Upon arrival police talked with the woman who stated that her backpack was in the bushes. She told police that she was 21-years-old. Police later learned she was 19.
She reportedly told police that she went into Julio’s and bought the beer and did not have to show her ID.
Police took her back into the tavern and confronted the bartender. Officers informed the bartender that she had sold beer to a minor. The bartender was arrested for selling alcohol to minors and the 19-year-old woman was arrested for underage possession.
