WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seven broadcast journalism students and two journalism faculty members from the College of Communications provided online coverage of Inauguration Day on Jan. 20 from Washington, D.C.
Their streaming updates from the nation’s capital can be found by clicking here.
For the students, the event was not only a window into history, but also a chance to hone their journalism skills in the heady environment of a major news story. In videos currently posted, students sum up the day’s events near historic memorials, with the Washington D.C. skyline as a backdrop. More videos will be added to the site as the week continues. The students are members of the University Park campus chapter of the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), and by members of the Web-based student radio station, ComRadio.
