PORT ALLEGHENY – A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal at the Ridgway station, Port Allegheny Borough Police Department, and the Port Allegheny Fire Deparment investigated the origin and cause of a fire that damaged the Canoe Place Inn.
The building and property are owned by Sheetz, Inc. The building is scheduled for demolition. Someone entered the building and ignited cardboard and miscellaneous materials on fire. The fire was contained in a storage room.
A damage estimate is not available. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
