June E. Zawislak, 87, of DuBois died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 at Nelson’s Golden Years.
Born June 22, 1929 in Rathmel, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Edna (McFadden) Haggerty.
On June 9, 1947, she married Leo S. “Zuber” Zawislak. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2016.
Mrs. Zawislak was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy M. Bowser and her husband, Joe of DuBois; a son, Joseph Zawislak of DuBois; three grandchildren, Steven and Kevin Bowser and Krista Frable; and eight great-grandchildren, Caiden and Dylan Bowling, Rowen Frable, Sarah, Benjamin and Rebekah Bowser and Zackary Berends-Bowser and Cole Bowser.
She is also survived by a brother, Gene Haggerty and his wife, Peg of Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Haggerty and Warren McCullough and two sisters, Madeline Mitchell and Betty Roush.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Dick Whitaker and Pastor Bob Cappel co-officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
