DUBOIS – DuBois City Solicitor, Toni Cherry, read the first reading of Council Bill No. 1848, and Ordinance of the City amending Chapter 15, Part IV, Section 402 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of DuBois to add that parking on both sides of Quarry Avenue, between Evergreen Street and Robinson Street, is prohibited.
Council member Jim Aughenbaugh said he is looking into the parking in that area and the only problem they might have is from the apartment building on that street. He said the residents have parking in the rear of their building but it is a matter of whether they use that lot. Chief of Police, Mike DiLullo, described the area as a “bottleneck” and said that something has to be done to that road, that it is just too narrow.
