Clearfield Fairgrounds
The Clearfield County Fair will open Sunday, July 31 and run through Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Clearfield fairgrounds. It will feature food vendors, agricultural and art exhibits, animal barns, amusements in the Midway and entertainment for the entire family. Corner Concert
Shaw Park
On Aug. 5 the School of Rock, a music education center based in the State College area, will appear at the Corner Concert Series.
“There will be acoustic soloists as well as a full rock band,” says Steve Albert, organizer. “The Corner Concert Series is proud to give these young musicians a stage to perform.”
Music will start at 7 p.m. on the corner of East Market and Front streets in downtown Clearfield. Shaw Park hosts the events every Friday night throughout the summer and features a different style of music every week.
Donations will be collected for the Susquehanna River Arts Center. “Bring a lawn chair and join the fun,” says Albert.
Tannery on the Green Invitational Tournament
DuBois Country Club
Tannery on the Green Invitational Tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday and played in two-man best ball format at the DuBois Country Club. The cost is $300 per team and it includes three rounds of guest fees, a Friday evening cookout, Saturday’s lunch and evening meal, driving range, club storage, etc. Contact the club at 814-371-7540 for more information.

Clearfield YMCA 5K and 100M Dash
Clearfield Fairgrounds
The Clearfield YMCA will hold its annual Fair Fun 5K and 100M dash Saturday at the Clearfield Fairgrounds. Registration will take place from 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. at the Grove stage. The 100M dash will start at approximately 9:15 a.m. after the finish of the 5K race. Awards will be given at the conclusion of the 100M dash event.
