OSCEOLA MILLS – Ohio United Methodist Church is pleased to announce its annual homecoming preacher will be Pastor Donna L. Vaux.
She was first appointed to the Morgan Run parish in July of 1995 and served the people there for seven years.
She then served two additional parishes prior to her retirement this year, the Calvary/Pinecroft parish and the Mountainview Parish. Overall, Vaux served parishes with 21 years of service.
“It has been a great joy to meet people where they are in relationship to Christ and to grow with them as disciples – followers of Jesus Christ. It is an ever-deepening, sometimes painful, always joyful discovering of the great, great love God has shown to us through the person of Jesus Christ,” said Vaux.
“Sharing this love through actions of service, confronting injustice, and studying God’s word are tremendously humbling. Being a pastor is to be invited into the most intimate times of people’s lives, and what a wonderfully beautiful privilege this has been in my life.
“I look forward to participating in Homecoming at the Ohio UMC and seeing many old friends and recalling saints who changed my life and my faith for the best!”
Homecoming services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. at 2550 Ashland Rd., Osceola Mills. They are open to the public.
