State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred July 5 on Charles Street in Houtzdale Borough. During the incident, someone removed four Thornbird tires that belonged to the victim and which had a value of $100. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by deception that occurred Monday at a Horton Township residence. Further, a caller allegedly threatened that the victim would be arrested if she didn’t pay her taxes. She subsequently purchased $500 in iTunes cards and provided the serial numbers to the caller, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were called to Latimere Street for a report about a motorist who was trespassing on property. Upon arrival police found an employee there.
- Police responded to Park Avenue for a vehicle accident. Further, police reported that a vehicle had drifted across the roadway, striking the front porch of a residence. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, police said.
- Police responded to West First Avenue for a parking complaint. However, the vehicle wasn’t there upon police arrival.
- Police responded to South Second Street for a report about a male and female who were engaged in a verbal dispute. Both parties were warned of their actions, police said.
- Police were called to an address along East Market Street for an altercation. Upon arrival police found that a male and female were engaged in a verbal altercation.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a person who was allegedly acting disorderly in the area of Dorey Street Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of sexual assault. It remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a phone scam. Residents are reminded not to provide any personal information out over the phone.
- Police received a report about a drug violation at a business on Route 879. However, the suspects left the scene while police were being dispatched.
- Police assisted a motorist on South Second Street.
- Police received a report about a wire being down on Montgomery Run Road.
- Police received a report about a civil issue involving money. Further, police advised the victim to seek legal advice.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on Route 879 and located the vehicle.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute on Montgomery Run Road. It was handled without any arrests, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief on Daisy Street Extension.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on Route 879.
- Police assisted the state police’s Megan’s Law Division with a compliance check of a township resident.
DuBois City
- On Monday police were called to the intersection of DuBois Street and Sheridan Avenue for a report about a line down due to a tractor-trailer. Upon arrival officers found that a tractor-trailer driver had taken a wrong turn and went into a residential neighborhood. Officers found that the down line was an old cable line and it did not affect service; however, they assisted with the exchange of insurance information. Police noted that the tractor-trailer was able to leave the area without causing any additional damage.
- On Tuesday police received a report about an alarm that was activated at the DuBois Lanes. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about an assault that occurred Tuesday on Lord Street. Further, it involved two neighbors who were already separated upon police arrival. There wasn’t anyone with need of medical attention, and charges will not be filed at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged burglary that had occurred sometime overnight Tuesday in the 100 block of East Weber Avenue. Upon investigation police found there was forced entry while no one was at home, and that items were taken from inside. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Tuesday police received a report about an alarm that was activated at the First Commonwealth Bank, located on North Main Street. Officers responded and determined the alarm had been set off by accident.
- On Tuesday police received a report about an alarm that was activated at GAI Consultants, located on West Weber Avenue. Officers checked the building and determined everything was OK.
