Frances Jane Lyons, 93, of DuBois died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 4, 1922, she was a daughter of the late James H. Lane and Blanche M. (Bedell) Lane. Â She was married to Joseph A. Lyons on Dec. 14, 1941 in DuBois.
She graduated from Sandy High School in the class of 1941. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lyons was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Asbury Fellowship SS Class, Good Samaritans Circle and Young at Heart.
Her survivors include one daughter, Marlene McGee and her companion, Tom Grove of Keyser, W.Va.; one son, Dale A. Lyons and his companion, Katrina Spichek of Wheeling, W.Va.; one grandson, David McGee and his wife, Melissa; one step-granddaughter, Sarah Schneider; one brother, Richard Lane; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph A. Lyons, who died April 12, 1992; and four brothers, Emery Lane, Harry Lane, Joseph Lane, and William Lane.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel Inc.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Corben Russell officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
