Wallace Ray Duttry, 81, of Curwensville died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1934 in Curwensville, a son of the late Lloyd and Maida E. (Straw) Duttry.
He was employed as a mason for various companies around the Clearfield area.
After that, he worked for 10 years as a gas well tender for Eastern American Energy in Indiana, Pa., until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and in his later years, golfing. He was Baptist by faith.
He truly loved all his family and is survived by his wife, Joanne R. (Rishel) Duttry, to whom he was wed Aug. 12, 1955 in Curwensville.
He is survived by three children, Genny Beth Evans and her husband, Mark of Danville, Martin Ray Duttry and his wife, Lisa of Olanta and David Edward Duttry and his wife, Penny of Washington, D.C.
He is also survived by two grandsons, Joshua Ray Duttry and Lucas Adam Duttry; three step-grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Derrik Holmes and Linsay Holmes; and a brother, Leslie ‘Bud’ Duttry and his wife, Peggy of Curwensville.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, with the Rev. William ‘Bill’ Duttry officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Bible Church, 398 Grandview Rd., Curwensville, or to the charity of one’s choice.
