Martha Jane (Jordan) Porzio, 75, of Clearfield and formerly of Lancaster, died Wednesday, June 16, 2016 at Golden Living, Clarion.
Born Feb. 10, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Thomas N. Jordan and Helen J. (Collar) Jordan. She worked as a seamstress and later in horticulture until her retirement.
She was strong in her faith and was dedicated to many churches throughout her life, where she assisted with Sunday school and provided caregiving for the elderly.
She was a life-long supporter of charities for military veterans and law enforcement members.
She enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, crocheting, needle-point, caring for children and gardening.
Her survivors include one son, John Porzio and his fiancée, Jessica of Wexford, Pa.; four step-children; siblings, Thomas Jordan, Joy Leigey, Rodney Jordan and John Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew Thomas Porzio Sr., who died in April of 1993; and siblings, Barbara Owens, Jo Ann Livergood, Sandra Jones, Carol Genderu and Judy Holt.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Duane White officiating. Burial will follow in Bradford Cemetery.
