James Andrew Guthrie, 71, of Osceola Mills died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his home.
Born Oct. 6, 1944, he was the son of the late James A. and Mildred (Fowler) Guthrie. He married Linda R. (Kennedy) Guthrie, who survives at home.
Mr. Guthrie was of the Christian faith. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post No. 437 in Philipsburg.
He retired from the former Circuit City as an appliance technician. He was a graduate of the West Branch Area High School in the class of 1962 in Morrisdale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Russell Guthrie.
Along with his wife, he is survived by daughters, Heather Marie Walstrom and her husband, Harold of Woodland, Holly Michelle Gaddy and her husband, Roy of Bedford, Traci Cowfer and her husband, Timothy of Houtzdale and Chelsea Marie Kephart of State College.
He is survived by sons, James Andrew Guthrie and his companion, Alexandra Eliades of Chicago, Ill., Jamie Kephart and his wife, Wendy of Sykesville, Nicholas Kephart and his companion, Lydie Waugh of Clearfield and Clinton Guthrie of Brisbin. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills. There will be no visitation.
