State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct Wednesday in the Save A Lot parking lot in Sandy Township. During the incident, two men were allegedly urinating in the parking lot, and both were charged through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of scattering rubbish that occurred Thursday on Brown Road in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly left rubbish that contained bricks and stones on the victim’s property. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred sometime between April 1 and Thursday on Mt. Dew Road in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the location without permission from the owner. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to East Market Street for a report about a tire that had been slashed on a vehicle. Upon arrival police determined a sharp object had damaged a tire. Police are continuing the investigation of this incident at this time.
- Police assisted a motorist along Turnpike Avenue who had locked their keys inside of their vehicle.
- Police responded to Turnpike Avenue and West Pine Street for a minor vehicle accident. Police reported that a vehicle pulled from a stop sign along West Pine Street, striking another one being operated on Turnpike Avenue. Both vehicles were driven from the scene, and no injuries were reported, police said.
- A set of car keys were turned into police after they were found along the 300 block of West Front Street near Clearfield Street.
- Police were called to the area of East Locust and North Third streets for a parking complaint. Police issued a parking ticket for the violation.
- Police arrested a male for public intoxication after he was located by deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office along Water Street. The male was subsequently taken to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police reported that damage occurred to a church along River Road. It appears that someone had either backed or pulled into the building, causing damage, police said, adding that the driver then left the scene.
- Police received a report about a known male who allegedly removed items from a store and left without paying for them.
- Police cited a male for disorderly conduct after they were called to a North Front Street office. He was allegedly throwing items and causing a disturbance.
- Police were called to South Park for a reported dog that was found in the area. Police were able to locate the owner and the dog was returned to them.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a psychological emergency on Valley View Drive.
- Police were requested to assist a motorist on the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Robinson Avenue.
- Police received a report about a disabled tractor-trailer on Woodland Road.
- Police received a report about a possible domestic dispute in one of the apartments behind Time Square. Upon arrival police didn’t locate a domestic dispute.
- Police received a report about an unwanted person at Lawrence Park Village. Police made contact with those involved and had them disperse to prevent further incident.
- Police received a report about a possible incident of harassment. The incident was unfounded, police said.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Rockton Mountain Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of assault that occurred on West Front Street.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call at an apartment on South Second Street. Upon arrival police found the person to be OK.
- Police were requested to assist state parole with serving a warrant at a residence on Valley View Drive.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of a package from the post office.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of identity theft from a township resident.
- Police responded to a civil issue on Barn Road.
- Police served a warrant on a Clearfield female at the EconoLodge along Route 879. She was taken into custody and put in county jail and will be arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland.
- Police received a report about an alleged Protection from Abuse order violation. Charges were filed against the actor, police said.
- Police received a noise complaint that occurred on Weaver Street Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of loitering and prowling.
- Police assisted the Hopewell Township police in Beaver County by providing contact information to a victim of identity theft.
- Police assisted PennDOT by closing River Road for road construction this week.
- Police responded to a psychological emergency at a Coal Hill residence.
- Police received a report about a phone scam from a township resident.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of access device fraud from a township resident.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on the Old Erie Pike. Further, a LaJose male lost control of his vehicle, which left the roadway and struck a tree. He was flown from the scene for medical treatment at the Altoona Hospital, police said.
- Police assisted emergency personnel in Country Club.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief at the Super 8 Motel.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft from a resident at Lawrence Park Village.
- Police responded to assist a disabled motorist along U.S. Route 322.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from a Hyde resident that occurred between school students.
- Police received a report about a tree being on fire in a wooded area just off Byers Street. Upon arrival police found it was extinguished, and it remains under investigation at this time.
- Police responded to an alarm at a local business in the area of Route 879 and Interstate 80. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
DuBois City
- On Wednesday a female contacted police about an alleged incident of harassment. She told police she’d met a male online from Georgia, and now he will not stop calling and harassing her. Police told her not to accept any more calls and to report further incidents.
- On Wednesday police received a report from Penn Highlands regarding a patient’s husband who was allegedly calling and threatening a doctor. Police contacted the doctor who advised he didn’t want to pursue charges. Police contacted the male and warned him that if his behavior continued, it would result in his arrest.
- Police received a report about an unruly customer Wednesday at a business on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police were able to remove the Altoona man from the business without incident. A representative from the business didn’t want to pursue charges, and police directed the man to leave the property and not to return.
- Police responded to an active hold-up alarm Wednesday at a business on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK, and a key holder confirmed there wasn’t any emergency.
- On Wednesday police received a report about a dog on the roof of a house on East Park Avenue. Upon arrival officers observed a dog on the front porch’s roof. The owner told police that he didn’t realize the dog could go out the window and onto the roof.
- On Wednesday police received a report about a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Morrison Street. Upon arrival police found a 21-year-old man fleeing the area, and he wasn’t located by police. A female told police he was an ex-boyfriend, and he had refused to leave until she reported him. No charges have been filed at this time, police said.
- On Thursday police were dispatched to the 400 block of South Church Street, where a female was reportedly naked and praying in the street. Upon arrival police found her inside of her residence, and she hadn’t taken her medication for some time. The female was subsequently transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment, police said.
- Police arrested a 29-year-old DuBois man for public drunkenness Thursday after he was seen stumbling through the parking lot of the City Park. He was located and allegedly found to be under the influence of a drug. He was on Clearfield County Probation and arrested as a result, police said.
