CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department reported that two people were taken for medical treatment following a two vehicle accident along state Route 879.
According to police a vehicle driven by a Clearfield man attempted to make a turn onto the exit from the bypass onto the off-ramp. A Houtzdale woman was not able to stop her vehicle and struck the man from behind.
The man was transported to the Stat MedEvac base located at the Clearfield-Lawrence Township Airport where he was flown to an unknown trauma center. The woman was transported by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services to Clearfield Hospital.
Police were assisted at the scene by Hyde Volunteer Fire Company, Clearfield Station One Rescue, Clearfield EMS and AJ Ross Towing.
