Mary H. Temo, 92, of Osceola Mills died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by the love of her family.
Born Jan. 24, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Susana (Knap) Gura.
She married Michael P. Temo on Sept. 2, 1944 at the former St. Joseph Catholic Church in Osceola Mills; he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2001.
Mrs. Temo was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, where she was a member of the Rosary Society of the church and the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Victoria, Houtzdale. She was also a member of the Osceola Mills Civic Club.
She was a homemaker. She had worked for the former Viceroy Sports Wear and was a 1941 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
She was strong in her faith as well as being a devoted wife and mother. She was an avid baker and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Gura.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Borro and her husband, Ronald of Arnold, Md., and Mary Anne Pazmino and her husband, Dr. Roy Pazmino of Philipsburg and one son, Retired U.S. Army Colonel James M. Temo and his wife, Mary of Durham, NC.
She is survived by one brother, Stephen Gura and his wife, Carolyn of Troy, Mich. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Hadro and her husband, Neal, Gregory Temo and his wife, Keri, Geoffrey Borro, Lauren Borro, Erica Niznik and her husband, Nicholas, Matthew Godin and Marc Godin and seven great-grandchildren, Katie and Anna Hadro, Allison, Andrew and Ryan Temo and Emma and Ellie Niznik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Father Robert Horgas officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Temo was a kind and generous person who was an inspiration to those whose lives she touched. She was loved and respected by family and friends.
