CLEARFIELD – The Community Guidance Center is excited to announce that it has been selected to become a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).
CCBHCs is a part of the Excellence in Mental Health ACT passed by Congress in 2014 and is designed to provide a demonstration program with selected states to radically improve quality and expand access to mental health and substance use.
CCBHCs provide the comprehensive array of services that are necessary to create access, stabilize people in crisis, and provide the necessary treatment for those with the most serious, complex mental illnesses and addictions.
CCBHCs also integrate additional services to ensure an approach to health care that emphasizes recovery, wellness, trauma informed care, and physical-behavioral health integration.
The Community Guidance Center has already started the process of becoming a CCBHC and is pleased to be involved in this important project.
