Charles R. Komonczi, 65, of Curwensville died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Reading Medical Center in Reading.
Born March 9, 1951 in Clearfield, he was the son of Francis and Nanette (Hetrick) Komonczi.
He was Baptist by faith. He was baptized on Aug. 18, 2014 and was a member of Bells Landing Baptist Church.
He worked for Curwensville Feed Store in his younger years. He was a retired truck driver having worked for various companies for more than 40 years.
On Sept. 26, 1970, he wed the former Eva Jean Redden, who survives, along with four children, Paula Halulko and her husband, John of Reading, Shelly Livergood and her husband, Gregory of Maryland and Michael Komonczi and his wife, Jessica and Holly Komonczi, both of Curwensville.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren Danny, Aidan, Nathan, Ava, Nolan, Elodie and Jobin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Komonczi and a sister, Nannette Walters.
Funeral services for Mr. Komonczi will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. M. Bruce Dimmick officiating.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
