Hillary Clinton, after finishing brief remarks at a block party with Rep. Charlie Rangel in Washington Heights on Sunday, danced to Latin music with a group of local politicians.
“Imagine an America where we are unified again,” Clinton said. “Where we stand against the hate(ful) rhetoric coming from the Republicans, where we say to Donald Trump, ‘BASTA!’ “
Clinton waved her hands in the air before New York State Sen. Adriano Espaillat held her hand and spun her on stage.
Clinton, clearly feeling the music, continued to dance, grabbing hands with New York State Assemblyman Keith Wright.
Interestingly enough, Espaillat and Wright are both running to succeed Rangel, who is retiring in 2016.
Clinton promised the primarily Latin audience to push immigration reform as president and blasted “hate rhetoric coming from the Republicans.”
