- Members of the Hyde Fire Department were assisted by police after a propane gas cylinder exploded and it spread to a family dwelling. It was extinguished by responding firefighters, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft in which a female removed items through the self-checkout and didn’t pay for them. Charges will be filed against her as a result, police said.

Sandy Township
- On Wednesday police located a 66-year-old man who had been squatting in a vacant property along Karoleski Road. Police handled the situation without incident.
- A 74-year-old Anita man lost control of his vehicle while traveling on the Blinker Parkway on Wednesday. This, police said, caused it to travel into the opposing lane and off of the roadway, where it hit a culvert and went airborne and came to rest in the parking lot of Dairy Queen. The driver was flown from the scene to Altoona Hospital, according to police.
- On Wednesday a 26-year-old man alleged receiving unwanted and harassing text messages from his ex-girlfriend. Officers contacted the 23-year-old Brockway woman and handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday a 32-year-old Brockway woman alleged that her ex-boyfriend was continually attempting to contact her against a no contact court order from the magistrate. Officers contacted the 41-year-old Brockway man and handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Thursday at a Treasure Lake residence.
