The Rev. Charles “Bud” Warren Long, 73, of Shawnee, Okla., and formerly of Westover, died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, April 10, 2016.
He was born May 18, 1942, in Johnstown to Harry Ross Sr. and Mary Jane (Thomas) Long.
He graduated from Richland High School in 1960. He continued his education at Washington Bible College in Washington, D.C., graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in biblical education.
He married Emily Antonelli of Alderson, Okla., on June 1, 1963, and had one daughter, Aline.
He pastored several Baptist churches in Pennsylvania before retiring in 2010, to be closer to his daughter and her family. He spent 30 years of his ministry serving as pastor at the Westover Baptist Church.
While living in Shawnee, he attended Liberty Baptist Church, and he was active in a bowling league at Firelake Bowl, where he spent much of his time enjoying camaraderie with fellow bowlers.
He enjoyed sports, reading, fishing, archery and talking with fellow sport enthusiasts.  He served in various capacities within the communities he lived, including the local volunteer fire departments.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years; his daughter, Aline Knoles and her husband, Robert; and his grandsons, Robert Cox, Christopher, Zachary and James Knoles of Shawnee.
He is survived by his brothers, Richard Long and his wife, Carol of Lakeland, Fla., Steven Long and his wife, Cinda of Rio Rancho, NM and Jack Long and his wife, Glenda of Spring Hill, Fla.
He also is survived by his step-brothers, Robert Horner and his wife, Colleen of Poinciana, Fla., and Thomas Horner and his wife, Evelyn of Somerset and his step-sister, Peggy Skiles and her husband, Paul of Johnstown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Robert Horner and his brothers, Harry Long Jr. and Wayne Long Sr.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a great comforter and friend.  He had a great sense of humor and liked to make people laugh.  He will be missed by many family and friends.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee, OK.
