CURWENSVILLE—Crafters, collectors and others will be sharing their hobbies with visitors to the Curwensville Public Library on May 3 during a “Hobby Night at the Curwensville Library” event.
Among the scheduled crafter displays are: wood carving, photography, knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, chair caning, card stamping, photo window framing, instrument making, deer horn mounting and fly tying.
Collections anticipated to be displayed: Star Wars, cook books, Civil War veterans’ reunion memorabilia, pop-up books, Pez dispensers, Indian artifacts and coins, with appraisals on coins and currency being offered.
The hobby of kayaking will be discussed with a display of the equipment used.
Visitors are welcome to visit the library from 6 to 8 p.m. The library is located at 300 Beech St. in Curwensville, across from the Curwensville High School.
Co-hosts for the event are the Curwensville Public Library, the Curwensville-Pike Township Historical Society and the General Federation of Woman’s Club of Curwensville, which will be providing light refreshments.
