State police at Philipsburg
- State police investigated an incident of harassment that occurred Saturday in the 400 block of State Street in Rush Township. During the incident, the actor and victim allegedly engaged in a verbal argument, which turned physical when the actor grabbed a hold of the victim. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received numerous reports about phone scams involving the IRS.
- Police assisted a Pennsylvania State Constable in the area of Susan Lane.
- Police responded to a residence on Washington Avenue for an alleged disorderly female.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident along East Sixth Street.
DuBois City
- On Monday police received a report about a stolen bicycle in the 800 block of West Weber Avenue. Further, a resident told police that sometime over the weekend, the bicycle was stolen from the yard.
- On Monday police received a report about an alleged assault from a teen and her mother that occurred while she was in school. They were referred to the DuBois Area School police or the local magistrate, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from a Locust Street resident on Monday. Further, a resident told police that his former girlfriend had gained access to his residence without permission and has been sending harassing text messages. When police spoke to her, she alleged being harassed by the male. Police advised both to not have any further contact with each other.
- On Monday police received a report from a North Second Street resident that someone had allegedly attempted to gain entry to his apartment. Further, the resident told police that someone had attempted to force open a rear window. There was minor damage to the window, but police said it didn’t appear anyone had gained access. The resident didn’t report any items as stolen, police noted in the report.
- While clearing another call Monday, police were contacted by an East DuBois Avenue resident. Further, he alleged to police that his roommate is constantly smoking marijuana in his room and common areas of the building. Police were permitted access to the common areas, where they allegedly detected the strong odor of burnt marijuana. When they made contact with the roommate, police allegedly found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain sight. These items were collected by police, and charges will be filed as a result. Police also indicated a juvenile was at the scene and released to his parents.
- Police received a noise complaint Monday in the 100 block of Olive Avenue. Upon arrival police learned the complaint was in relation to small children banging on the walls. Police contacted the children’s grandmother and asked her to keep them from banging on the walls.
