Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton “in a certain way, evil” in a word association game posed by MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski on Tuesday.
Brzezinski asked the business executive to describe his 2016 rivals in one word. When it came to the former secretary of state, Trump said, “In a certain way, evil.”
New Hampshire voters are headed to the polls on Tuesday to cast their votes in the primary. Trump and Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders led polling ahead of the contest.
Trump — who on Monday night repeated a vulgar word used by a woman in the audience to describe Ted Cruz — was far more charitable when asked to describe Bill Clinton.
“Intelligent,” he said.
In the past, Trump has said Bill Clinton’s past affairs are fair game for criticism of his wife, Hillary.
Trump also called Texas Sen. Ted Cruz “nasty” and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio “confused” during his MSNBC appearance.
When asked to describe himself, Trump initially replied, “brilliant,” before switching his answer.
“I would say, ‘a nice person.’ A lot nicer than people think,” he said.
