Irene (Pristas) Kocaj, 95, of Ramey died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at TLC Personal Care Home, Brisbin.
Born Aug. 4, 1920 in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Masich) Pristas.
On Nov. 8, 1939, she married Edward Kocaj in Nanticoke. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1976.
She is survived by a son, Thomas E. Kocaj and his wife, Carla of Westfield, NJ and three grandchildren, Thomas C. (Kim) Kocaj, Laura E. (Kevin) Callahan and Dr. Stephen M. (Irene) Kocaj.
She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Martin Pristas and three sisters, Mary Pristas, Ann Thomas and Helen Greenland.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. Thursday until the time of service at 2 p.m. at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation, Ramey.
Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery, Brisbin.
