CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Rotarian Calvin Thomas recently received his third Paul Harris Fellow pin at a “Rotary Cabin Fever” party. It was presented by Club President Toni Zawisa.
The recognition acknowledges individuals who either contribute or who have contributions made in their name of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
It was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what were then the foundation’s programs.
Many notable figures have been named as Paul Harris Fellows throughout the years, including President Jimmy Carter, Russian President Boris Yeltsin, U.S. Astronaut James Lovell and Medical Researcher Jonas Salk.
The Rotary party, which was hosted by Don and Mary Ann Herres, featured games of all types and food by Country Catering. It was held at the Sons & Daughters of Italy Hall.
