Kyle Navin, the Connecticut man accused of killing his parents last summer, has entered a plea of not guilty.
Navin, 27, is charged with two counts of murder and murder with special circumstance, according to court documents.
Navin’s parents, Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, were last seen August 4 at the trash removal and recycling company they owned in Easton, Connecticut, days after losing an appeal in a multimillion-dollar foreclosure case.
Investigators found their remains at a vacant home less than 10 miles away, Connecticut’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said.
During his court appearance Wednesday, Kyle Navin opted for a jury trial and waived his right to a probable cause hearing.
His attorney was not immediately available for a comment.
Navin’s girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante of Westport, Connecticut, is accused of conspiring with him to kill his parents. She has pleaded not guilty, according to court records.
Navin’s next court date is set for February 24.
