DUBOIS – Effective Thursday the DuBois Area School District will have a new superintendent, Timothy Deluccia.
Between 2000 and 2007 Deluccia has served the DuBois Area School District as an assistant to the superintendent, acting substitute superintendent and acting superintendent. He has worked with DASD professionally for two decades, and in education for 29 years.
“My acceptance speech would be that DuBois is an excellent school district,” began Deluccia after the vote.
The vote had taken place after a 20 minute executive session on certain articles of the contract.
In his acceptance speech Deluccia stated that he would like to keep DuBois on the current positive track that it has been on.
