David A. Shemuha, 82, of DuBois died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born Feb. 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Alex and Agnes (Kucharski) Shemuha.
On May 3, 1958, he married Joyce A. (Contrini) Shemuha. She survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. After 40 years of service, he retired from National Fuel Gas in DuBois.
Mr. Shemuha was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and traveling.
He is survived by three daughters, Lisa M. Presto and her husband, Dennis of Brockway, Catherine Lynn Durfey and her husband, Thomas of Springfield, Va., and Angela J. Rubino and her husband, Glenn of Ashton, Md.
He is also survived by a brother, Robert J. Shemuha and his wife, Adeline of Punxsutawney and six grandchildren, Jamie and Erica Presto, Tyler and Sean Durfey and Anna and Alex Rubino.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas D. Shemuha and a grandson, Ryan Presto.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Michael’s Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
