State police at DuBois
- State police responded to investigate an accident Monday on Route 255 in Huston Township. For unknown reasons, a vehicle entered into the oncoming lane of travel and almost impacted with a northbound vehicle. The vehicle then traveled off the roadway and impacted a tree. Prior to state police’s arrival at the scene, the operator and passenger fled on foot. State police allegedly located drug paraphernalia at the scene that can be attributed to the operator, a Penfield woman; she also allegedly admitted to not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. Charges have been filed through the district court, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of terroristic threats that occurred Dec. 3 on Hemlock Street in Rush Township. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly arrived at the victim’s residence and threatened to do serious bodily harm. They then allegedly began damaging the interior of the victim’s residence. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident.
- State police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred Tuesday on North Centre Street in Philipsburg Borough. Further, a Philipsburg woman fled the accident scene and was later located at her residence. She was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Mount Nittany Medical center for blood testing. State police are investigating the accident at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred Sunday at the Wal-Mart store in Fox Township. During the incident, a Niagara Falls, NY man allegedly removed a two-liter bottle of Pepsi valued at $1. A Ransomville, NY man allegedly removed a hooded sweatshirt valued at $31.97 and a Weedville man allegedly removed a bucket of chicken valued at $12.88. Charges have been filed through the district court, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police located an open door to a local business while conducting nightly checks. An employee was contacted who responded to the business and secured it, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from a Turnpike Avenue resident. The male reported that he was being harassed by another tenant, police said.
- Police responded to West Locust Street for a male who was to be in the area hunting. Police searched the area and were unable to locate anyone.
- Police assisted a motorist with unlocking their vehicle along East Market Street after the keys had been locked inside.
- A wallet was turned into police after it was located along Nichols Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment via communications.
- Police responded to Daisy Street for a report about a dog inside a vehicle. Police located the owner who was advised of the complaint. However, the dog was not found to be in distress, police said.
- Police were called to assist emergency personnel with gaining entry into a residence for a fall patient.
- Police responded to North Fifth Street for an alleged disturbance. Upon arrival police allegedly found that two males had entered into a verbal argument with each other. Police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police responded to East Cherry Street for a car alarm that was going off. Police searched the area but did not locate anyone.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to the area of Pleasant Lane for an alleged incident of criminal mischief.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of scattering rubbish in the area of Hollow Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
