State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of access device fraud that occurred Nov. 21 on Shannelly Drive in Halfmoon Township. During the incident, someone allegedly obtained the victim’s debit/check card information and attempted to make online purchases of $991.48 to an automotive shop in Tacoma, Wash. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a possible lost hunter on Four Mile Road. The incident was listed as unfounded, police said.
- Police received a report about a possible fraud/mail scam.
- Police received a report about a possible stolen vehicle. It turned out to be a civil issue, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred at the Economy Inn.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of loitering and prowling at a Hyde residence.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespass that occurred Friday on Anderson Street. Upon investigation police found it was civil in nature between a landlord and a tenant.
- Police filed charges against an Olanta woman Monday for bad checks.
- Police assisted personnel from the Rescue, Hose & Ladder Co. when a dryer caught fire Saturday at a Pennsylvania Avenue address.
- Police arrested a Curwensville man for allegedly operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol on Saturday.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of identity theft on Tuesday. Further, someone allegedly activated a phone line in Maryland with the victim’s information.
- Police would like to advise Center Street residents that parking is prohibited the entire length of the street. Police said signs have been installed on the street, and officers will begin enforcing the parking restriction Dec. 9.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly being disorderly Monday in the 400 block of Pifer Street. The caller told police that his roommate was being loud and keeping him up. Upon investigation police allegedly found that his roommate was intoxicated and advised him to quiet down for the night.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who was laying on a picnic table Monday in the DuBois City Park. Officers found the male was waiting for a friend and cleared the scene.
- Police were dispatched to Hoover Avenue where a child was allegedly left alone inside a vehicle in a parking lot on Monday. Dispatchers advised the mother had returned to the vehicle while they were speaking with the caller. Also, dispatchers overheard the mother and caller engage in an argument; however, both had left the scene prior to police arrival.
