State police at Clearfield

• State police received a report about an alleged Protection from Abuse order violation that occurred Friday on Cartwright Lane in Bradford Township. During the incident, a known male allegedly contacted the victim in violation of a PFA. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident at this time.

State police at DuBois

• State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal trespass that occurred Friday on Yellow Brick Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly trespassed on the victims’ property.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of burglary and criminal trespass that occurred sometime between Nov. 21 and Dec. 2 at a camp on Keefer Road in Huston Township. State police are continuing their investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call 814-371-4652.
• State police received a report about an accident that occurred Sunday on Route 255 in Huston Township. Further, a vehicle traveled off the roadway and impacted with a tree on the northern shoulder. A witness checked the vehicle for an operator or passengers; however, there wasn’t anyone inside or around the vehicle. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.

State police at Philipsburg

• State police received a report about an alleged theft incident that occurred Nov. 30 on North 13^th Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole $45.56 worth of Avon products from the victim.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Thursday at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. During the incident, someone wrote the word “bomb” on the bathroom wall and on the aluminum handle inside a stall.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Friday on E Street in Rush Township. Further, a Philipsburg man was allegedly detained and handcuffed for a probation violation. He allegedly scratched a reflective vinyl decal and paint on a fully-marked patrol vehicle with the handcuffs.
• State police received a report about an alleged theft from a motor vehicle that occurred sometime between Sept. 15 and Nov. 27 in the 200 block of Walnut Street in Unionville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a Pennsylvania registration plate from the victim’s motorcycle. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident.

State police at Punxsutawney

• State police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Saturday on Route 119 in Young Township. During the incident, the accused allegedly pulled in front of the victim and stopped. When the victim left and the accused allegedly started to follow him.

Lawrence Township

• Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief. During the incident, someone allegedly egged a vehicle on Turnpike Avenue.
• Police received a report about a missing person. The person was located shortly after being reported missing, police said.
• Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute in the Shady Grove Trailer Court. It was handled by police at the scene.
• Police received a report about a hunting rifle that was allegedly stolen from a vehicle. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
• Police received a report about vehicles speeding on Coal Hill Road.
• Police responded to a noise complaint in the area of Riverview Road.
• Police responded to a local bar for a report about a mailbox allegedly being struck by a vehicle.
• Police received a dog complaint that occurred on Clark Street.
• Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Krebs Highway. It involved two vehicles and a deer; no injuries were reported, police said.
• Police received a report about shots fired in the area of McGeorge Road. However, police were unable to locate the source of the noise.
• Police are currently investigating an alleged theft from a local business.
• Police received a noise complaint that occurred on Washington Avenue.
• Police assisted emergency personnel with a patient at the Mountain Laurel Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center.
• Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at the Best Western.
• Police are currently investigating an alleged forgery incident from a local business.
• Police responded to a local church for a report about found drug paraphernalia.
• Police responded to an alleged incident of harassment that occurred on South Second Street.

DuBois City

• On Nov. 30 police were dispatched for an alleged domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Wood Street. Upon arrival police were able to stabilize the situation and found there weren’t any criminal acts.
• On Nov. 30 police were dispatched to check the welfare of a male on East Second Avenue. The caller told police that the male had missed a doctor’s appointment and hasn’t been able to get a hold of him. Upon arrival police found the male was sleeping and to be OK.
• Police received a report about an accident that occurred Nov. 30 in the Pershing parking lot. The caller told police that someone had struck his parked car. The operator provided insurance information, but police were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Police noted that they received incorrect registration information for the suspect vehicle, and there weren’t any additional viable leads.
• Police received a report about a hold-up alarm Nov. 30 at the Medicine Shoppe. Upon arrival police found that it was accidental.
• While on patrol Nov. 30, an officer allegedly observed a male driver cut him off while making a left-hand turn in the area of Spring Avenue and Main Street. The officer followed the vehicle and allegedly witnessed additional probable cause for a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, police allegedly observed probable cause to place the driver under arrest for driving under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• On Dec. 1 police received a report from a male who alleged he was being abused and harassed by his roommate. The caller told police that his roommate will continually turn off the WiFi and not allow him to borrow his cellular phone. Police explained to the caller that this was neither abuse nor harassment.
• Police received a report about a suspicious male who was walking Dec. 1 in the 500 block of Liberty Boulevard. Upon arrival police located the male and determined he had an outstanding warrant with Clearfield County. The male, Matthew Upton, 34, was apprehended and turned over to the Clearfield County Sherriff’s Department.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of an East Park Avenue male on Dec. 1. His sister called police, reporting he lived alone and possibly had a stroke. Upon arrival police spoke with the male who reported having medical problems but declined medical assistance.
• Police were called to a noise complaint Dec. 2 in the 200 block of South Brady Street. The caller told police that an upstairs neighbor had her television turned up and was making excessive noise. When police made contact with the neighbor she agreed to turn the television down and to make less noise.
• Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred Dec. 2 in the 200 block of Shaffer Avenue. Further, an unknown driver struck a utility pole, shearing it off near ground level. The utility company was notified by police who collected evidence at the scene for further investigation.
• Police were contacted Dec. 2 by American Express regarding fraudulent charges on a local resident’s account. American Express personnel advised police that more than $11,000 in fraudulent charges have been made over the past several months. It was noted that the cardholder was a care-dependent person and possibly being taken advantage of. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
• Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred Dec. 2 in the area of West Long Avenue and South Main Street. Upon arrival police learned that a vehicle was traveling east when the operator of a sports utility vehicle failed to stop, which caused the two vehicles to collide. The SUV then fled the scene, police said. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact city police.
• Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident Dec. 2 on East DuBois Avenue. Both vehicles were traveling eastbound when the first stopped to allow pedestrians to cross. The second vehicle rear-ended it, police said, and its operator was issued several citations. Also, one operator reported minor injuries, and both vehicles were drivable.
• On Thursday police were dispatched to an activated burglar alarm at the Tractor Supply Co. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK. Police were dispatched for the same call and determined it was another false alarm.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of a West Washington Avenue male on Thursday. When police made contact with the male he was found not to be a danger to himself.
• Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident Friday on West Park Avenue. Upon investigation police learned that a vehicle stopped for traffic and it was rear-ended. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were drivable, police said.
• On Friday a West Long Avenue man alleged to police that he was being harassed by his ex-girlfriend. He told police that she had allegedly posted information about him and his daughter on her Facebook page. Police contacted his ex-girlfriend and advised her to cease contact with the victims.
• While on patrol Saturday in the area of Franklin Street, police allegedly observed a vehicle and suspected its driver was under the influence. After following the vehicle, police allegedly developed enough probable cause for a traffic stop. Upon investigation police placed the driver under arrest for DUI. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident Saturday at the intersection of DuBois Street and West DuBois Avenue. Upon investigation police determined that both drivers were turning left when the first one stopped for traffic and was rear-ended. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were drivable.
• Police received a report about a suspicious person Saturday in the Hillcrest area. Police were able to locate a male who was attempting to make a delivery but was lost. Police provided him with a targeted direction.
• On Sunday police received a tip on the location of Paul Price, who was wanted on charges of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault. The charges against Price stem from an alleged incident Oct. 25 that involved a 15-year-old girl. Price was to be in the area of 100 North Main Street; when police responded he was taken into custody on a warrant and transported to jail to await arraignment. A search of Price, police said, turned up marijuana, methamphetamine, Suboxone and drug paraphernalia. Price will face additional criminal charges at a later date.

Sandy Township

• A 21-year-old Harper Road resident alleged that while she was away from her home for a couple of hours Friday, someone broke in. She told police that her residence was torn up, items were dumped on the floor and garbage was scattered about.  The only thing that appeared missing was $200 in cash that was in a locked safe, police said, adding the investigation is continuing at this time.
• A vehicle driven by a 79-year-old Reynoldsville man struck the lift gate of a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Cochranton man that was parked Friday in the Blinker Sheetz parking lot. Minor damage was reported as a result, police said.
• A 50-year-old Weedville woman alleged that someone hit and damaged her vehicle while it was parked at the Commons on Friday.
• Police received a report about a false alarm at K-Mart on Friday.
• Officers were dispatched to a Hanes Drive residence for a 911 hang-up call on Saturday. Upon arrival it was found to be an accident, while kids were trying to call out, police said.
• On Saturday a 64-year-old Treasure Lake man alleged that he had attempted to sell an item on Craig’s List. When the potential buyer sent payment, he allegedly told the man he made a mistake in filling out the money gram, which was for several hundred dollars more than the asking price. He allegedly told the man to cash the money gram and return the extra to him. The Treasure Lake man recognized this as a scam and returned the money gram without opening it.
• A 41-year-old Hanes Drive woman was allegedly seen by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take several items from the store without paying for them on Saturday. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• An 87-year-old Reed Street woman alleged that someone fraudulently used her Wal-Mart Credit card. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
• On Saturday a 27-year-old DuBois woman and a 31-year-old DuBois man were arrested after officers were checking their welfare along Behringer Highway when they received a report about a disabled vehicle. The couple was allegedly acting suspiciously, and it was found the woman had warrants out for her arrest. Also, drug paraphernalia was allegedly found in the vehicle, police said. Charges are currently pending at this time.
• A 26-year-old Ohio woman hit a deer while traveling Saturday on the Bee Line Highway. Severe damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
• On Sunday a Kansas woman requested that officers check the welfare of her 38-year-old granddaughter who she had not heard from for a few days. Officers handled the situation without incident.
• An 89-year-old Treasure Lake man lost control of his vehicle while attempting to turn into Dutch Pantry on Sunday. This caused his vehicle to travel into a culvert. No injuries were reported as a result, police said.
• On Sunday a Wasson Avenue resident reported that someone was walking around in her backyard with a flashlight. Officers checked the area but did not find the intruder.
