At least one person was killed when two bombs exploded outside a hotel housing election judges in the Egyptian town of al-Arish in northern Sinai on Tuesday, state media reported.
State media also reported a policeman was killed in a bombing in the region on Monday, the same day parliamentary elections were held in Egypt.
Egyptian security forces have been battling militants in northern Sinai for several years.
Hundreds of people have been killed in ISIS attacks mostly targeting government and security installations.
The terror group also claimed responsibility for the downing of a Russian passenger plane in late October killing 224 people.
