Last week the Bisons suffered one of their tougher losses in recent years falling to previously winless Bald Eagle Area. The Bisons are in a \”trap\” game once again this week traveling to the 1-5 Penns Valley Rams.
The Rams are lead by senior running back Kody Bjalme who has toted the ball over 100 times for just over 500 yards and four touchdowns. The Rams lone win this season coincidentally came over Bald Eagle Area the second week of the season. The win over Bald Eagle is also the only time Penns Valley has scored more than 15 points in a contest.
The Bison offense looked last week as if it was starting to get on the right track again, but as in the previous contests that the Bisons have lost, they couldn\’t score inside the redzone and had more turnovers than the opposing team.
Sophomore quarterback Curtis Frye will need to look to bounce back from his three interception performance last week. On the season Frye has thrown for over 1200 yards and 10 touchdowns, but has also thrown 10 interceptions. His favorite target all season has been senior wideout Trey Campman who has hauled in 35 balls for over 600 yards and six touchdowns.
With inclement weather being forecasted for Friday night the Bisons may have to rely more on their run game than they have in past weeks. Junior Derek Morgan leads the ground attack for the Bisons carrying the ball 86 times for over 400 yards and five touchdowns.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Penns Valley.
