On June 18, the “Pennsy Bridge” on U.S. Route 219 in Ridgeway, Pa. partially colÂlapsed, injuring three construction workÂers, one critically, and backing up traffic for miles. The bridge, which was built in 1912 and carries about 5,600 vehicles a day across Elk Creek in Ridgway, was unÂdergoing a $2.2 million rehabilitation by Francis J. Palo Inc.
