Daniel E. Hendricks, 79, of Rockton died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born March 11, 1936, he was the son of the late T. Cletus and Roxie (Brubaker) Hendricks.
On May 14, 1957, he married Dorothy (Swauger) Hendricks. She survives.
He retired from the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad after 31 years of service. Prior to that, he worked for Fairman Drilling and also as a union laborer in the building trade.
He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rockton. He was a life member of the Union Township Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Garfield Lodge No. 559 Free and Accepted Masons, Coudersport Consistory. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by three sons, Richard E. Hendricks, Jeffrey D. Hendricks and his wife, Brenda and Daniel D. Hendricks; a brother, Thomas Hendricks and his wife, Mary Ann; and a sister, Geraldine Spicher, all of Rockton; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Hendricks and two infant siblings.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Jennifer Gonsalves officiating.
Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery.
