PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Clearfield is seeded No. 3 in Class AAA while Curwensville is No. 4 in Class A for the 2008 District 9 Baseball Playoffs, according to pairings released Tuesday by District 9 Committee Softball Chairman Tony Flint of Port Allegany High School.
Clearfield will travel to St. Marys May 22, with the winner taking on defending state champion Punxsutawney for the Class AAA crown on May 28.
Curwensville received a bye in the first round and will play on its home diamond in a May 22 quarterfinal against the winner of the Ridgway-Elk County Catholic game.
All games are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
