TYRONE — The Clearfield Area High School Junior Varsity football team shut out the host Tyrone Golden Eagles on Monday night to up their record to 3-2 on the season.
A first quarter Spencer Graham three yard touchdown and Jake Sorbera extra point turned out to be the game-winning points.
After allowing six points to Cambria Heights last week, the Bison defense earned their first shut out of the season to climb above the .500 mark. Hunter Bumbarger recovered a fumble, while Ryan Lazuaskas intercepted a pass on Tyrone’s final drive to seal the win.
Clearfield will be on the road again next Monday when they travel to Wingate to face the Bald Eagle Area Eagles.
