William S. Fairman III, 75, of DuBois died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Sept. 7, 1940, he was the son of the late William S. Fairman Jr. and Eleanor (Reed) Fairman.
On April 30, 1961, he married Emily D. (Shaw) Fairman. She survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the owner/operator of Fairman Farms in DuBois his entire life, where he was well-known for his produce and sweet corn. He bred and showed Arabian Horses and registered Holstein Cows.
He is survived by three sons, Scott Fairman and his wife, Gail, Rod Fairman and his wife, Lesley and Shawn Fairman, all of DuBois.
He is also survived by two sisters, Delores Gearhart of DuBois and Margaret Dickey of Big Canoe, Ga., two brothers, Thomas Fairman of DuBois and Richard Fairman of New York, NY, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Tri County Church with Pastor Dan Smith officiating.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
