DUBOIS – A Grampian man has been accused of allegedly selling marijuana to undercover informants.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Sept. 28, Derek Brothers, 23, 184 Penn St., Grampian, is charged by the state Attorney General’s office with possession of a controlled substance and two counts each of criminal use of a communication facility and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
The charges were the result of a joint operation between the Attorney General’s office and the Clearfield County Drug Task Force.
According to the affidavit, on Feb. 18, 2014, a confidential informant allegedly bought 3.5 grams of marijuana from Brothers as part of a controlled buy operation. The informant allegedly communicated with Brothers using text messages to arrange to purchase the marijuana at Brothers’ house.
On April 15, 2014, the informant allegedly arranged to meet with Brothers a second time to purchase 4.97 grams of marijuana.
