DUBOIS – Penn State DuBois Outreach will present a succession planning workshop in November that is relevant for all organizations, regardless of size.
Business corporations, small or family businesses, and non-profits can all benefit from succession planning to ensure a vibrant future for their organization, improve their bottom line and offer career development for their employees.
The goal of succession planning is to build a skilled workforce that will help build, maintain and grow organizations related to leadership and technical talent. This workshop is planned for 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Nov. 15.
Organizations of all types and sizes must ensure successful leadership transitions in order to survive and thrive. Succession Planning is a key tool to achieve that goal, yet it is one of the least used.
Participants will learn the basics of what succession planning is, why it should be utilized and how to design and implement a program that works. This interactive program is tailored to individuals with responsibility at the organizational or department level who would like to learn more about the benefits and methods of succession planning.
Instructor Dale Fox incorporates her diverse experience that includes two decades as a Fortune 10 consultant, board membership on state agencies and non-profits, universities, small business ownership and leadership for local non-profits. An award-winning member of Toastmasters International, Fox specializes in providing interactive programs that educate, entertain and inspire.
In addition to succession planning, supervisory skills workshops with Dale Fox are being offered Oct. 15, and Oct. 29. For more information about these professional development opportunities, visit www.dubois.psu.edu/ce or contact Sueann Doran at 814-375-4716.
