Marietta, GA — The Buster\’s Brewers assured themselves of at least a top 6 finish at Nationals as they advanced to the winner\’s bracket semi-final with a come from behind, extra inning affair over Eagle AA, 5-3.
Down 3-0 in the third inning, Buster\’s tied the score in the top of the 4th with a three spot.
The game continued scoreless until Buster\’s pushed across two runs in the top of the 9th. Brandon Billotte led off with a single and was sacrificed to second by Gutty Wallace. Travis Henry ripped a single to score Billotte with what proved to be the game winner. Andy Squires added an RBI single for insurance.
The extra innings belonged to centerfielder Kevin Billotte though. Billotte threw out the potential winning run at the plate in the bottom of the 8th and robbed an Eagle batter of a game tying homerun in the bottom of the 9th to preserve the win.
Jerk Watson picked up his third complete game victory of the tournament.
Buster\’s will now take on the Allentown Patriots on Saturday afternoon.
