Donald Trump is set to become an eight-time grandfather this spring as his daughter Ivanka Trump announced Thursday that she is pregnant.
The baby will be Ivanka Trump’s third. She has two other children with husband Jared Kushner.
The Republican presidential front-runner, who is 69, welcomed the news Thursday morning on Twitter.
“So happy about my daughter @IvankaTrump’s announcement that she will be having a baby this spring. Congratulations!” he tweeted.
Trump is not the only grandparent in the presidential race. His Democratic counterpart Hillary Clinton became a first-time grandmother last year and has often touted her grandmother credentials in stump speeches since.
Several of Trump’s Republican opponents for the party’s presidential nomination are also grandparents, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former New York Gov. George Pataki.
