CLEARFIELD – Organizers for the annual Bison Alumni Band say that more 70 people have confirmed their participation in the event during Friday’s football game at the Bison Sports Complex.
All Clearfield Bison Marching Band Alumni are invited to attend. Events will start at 5:30 p.m. with a reception near the band bleachers. At 6:30 p.m., the current Bison Marching Band will present this year’s show titled “A Big Band Tribute.”
At approximately 6:45 p.m., the Bison Alumni Band will join the current Bison Band on the field to play the Clearfield Alma Mater, the team’s Fight Song and the National Anthem.
Immediately following the pre-game festivities, all Bison Band Alumni will take a group picture. Music will be provided.
If anyone needs to borrow instruments or other equipment, they are to e-mail BisonAlumniBand@gmail.com no later than Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Among those confirmed to attend are Ray Walker, the first drum major for the Clearfield High School Marching Band, and Cathy Irwin, the first drum major for the Clearfield Junior High Marching Band.
